MakerDAO Launches $1.35M Audit Contest for Endgame Security

The contest, scheduled to commence on July 8 and run until Aug. 5, will be conducted on the Sherlock Platform, a Web3 audit contest provider. This initiative is a crucial component of MakerDAO's initial phase of Endgame, slated for summer 2024. The goal is to involve security experts and emerging researchers in identifying vulnerabilities. Endgame signifies the final stage in MakerDAO's long-term strategy, aiming to revamp governance for a self-sustaining equilibrium known as the Endgame State. MakerDAO's co-founder, Rune Christensen, emphasized the significance of robust security testing for the Endgame launch. The decision to collaborate with Sherlock for the contest underscores MakerDAO's dedication to security. The upcoming four-week bug hunt will be a pivotal event, showcasing MakerDAO's commitment to ensuring a secure platform.
