Spot Ethereum ETFs Facing Outflows Despite Market Expectations
Sunday. August 25 at 1:00 PM
1 min. readSpot Ethereum Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) have been experiencing fluctuating levels of demand since their launch a month ago. Data from Farside Investors shows that these ETFs have seen more outflows than inflows, with Grayscale's Ethereum Trust leading the outflows. In contrast, BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust ETF has attracted over $1 billion in inflows, indicating a stronger performance. The preference for Bitcoin over Ethereum, the leading altcoin, could be a contributing factor to the lower demand for Spot Ethereum ETFs. Despite recent outflows, crypto analyst Ted Pillows believes that the trend may be reversing soon, potentially leading to a price breakout for Ethereum. Overall, the performance of Spot Ethereum ETFs has been underwhelming compared to Bitcoin ETFs, highlighting investors' cautious approach towards these investment products.
